Hey Guys!
It's been forever, but I have something to post! (party time) Here are a few things I've been working on at work. They are simple poses for promotional stuff, but it was fun to do.
This is but just a taste. I will have more to come (hopefully) if they post them online. Stay tuned. (Also, if you want to see the other characters on the show, check out this site: http://www.tridimagine.com/2011/02/hop-imagenes-de-los-personajes-hop.html )

ACTING!!!
Hey Everyone,
I'm going to make this a work in progress blog again. So, first off, My mentor is Melanie Cordan and she is..... AWESOME! I feel very fortunate to have a mentor that has a wide variety of experience. Also, she has to be one of the most enthusiastic mentor's I've had at AM and it's terrific. Her energy is threw the roof and it really feels like she want's to push our stuff to the next level. So Excited!
Second, Here is my planning for my first assignment, "It's ALIVE!" The whole point of this exercise is to develop two distinctive emotional beats in a shot. Also, keep it simple and focus on the acting. I had gone threw a range of idea's and came up with these two. After a lot of help from my mentors and my peers I decided to go with the first idea on the video. I felt it had the best contrast in emotions and it would allow me to play with subtle animation, something I haven't explored yet.
Next week, Blocking!

Oh so Tired... and Stealthy...
Oh man, what an exhausting week... Perfect segway to my Pose... Exhaustion. It was perfect timing... or not so perfect timing. Work is loading up like crazy and class 1 is wrapping up. The pressure is on! Anyway, here is my exhaustion pose, nothing more to say.

Next week, my personality walk and a balancing act. Talk to you soon.

Vanilla Walk and Concern
Hey Guys,
Week 9 all done! This week was a nice challenge, but not as hard as I thought. I successfully animated a standard or "Vanilla" walk. Aaron seemed to like it, not much critique, which is a good sign. Also, this weeks pose, Concern. This one was more challenging, but since I did so well with the story telling on my physical strength pose, I figure I would continue with it. I hope you guys enjoy. Next, adding some personality to my step and an exhausting week.

Physical Strength Posing
Hey Guys,
I'm a little late this week on the posting but work is ramping up and I'm finding little time to do anything else besides work and doing homework. So this is going to be a short post. This is my Physical Strength Pose. I wanted it to be a more interesting test besides a dude lifting something heavy, so I added a story element to make it more interesting. I think it was pretty successful. Next week, concern and some Vanilla walk Ice Cream. ;) Talk to you soon.

Devastated about an Obstacle Test
Hello Everybody,
I just finished week 5 and it was a doozy. This was a busy week. We had two new assignments and revisions to finish. Yea, busy busy. Well, it was a success. Aaron seemed to be pleased with my final products. Of course he had some feedback for me, but lucky it was only tweaky stuff. And he likes to give tweaky feedback.
The first assignment was a ball going through an obstacle course following the principles of timing, spacing, squash & stretch, and a little overlap. This was a really fun one and a huge challenge to try to keep it under 120 frames. As you can see, I didn't keep it under the 120 frame mark, but our professor told me that he would rather have a completed assignment that looked finished instead of an assignment that ended up to short.
Assignment #2 was a devastation pose. This is my second devastated pose and it turned out way better then the first. It took me awhile to find the correct position for the right hand, but when I did, it was a eureka moment. It just created a nice s-curve right down the pose and it just felt so much better. I hope you guys enjoy. Next week, a frustrated little pendulum. Talk to you soon.

Observation pose
Hello Everybody (HI Doctor Nic),
Well I'm in week two for Animation Mentor and I'm loving it. The student to student interaction is the best part about it. It's a huge community that is helping one another. It's awesome.
My first assignment is an Observation pose. We just go out and do some cafe sketching and then pose it with Stu. So I found some hipsters and they are the best people to draw. Anyway, if you have any feedback, shoot. I'm open to critiques. Thanks and I will have another post real soon.

Devastated Pose
Hey all,
Well, it's Wednesday. Three days late, but better late then never. My final devastated pose. I think it turned out pretty clear. Made sure to keep my silhouette open (and that was pretty difficult.) My next pose is Strength. Also, on the side, I will be participating in the current 11 Second Club challenge. Something to get back into actual animation. If you have any feedback, it's more then welcome. Talk to you soon.
